Joseph Richardson Jr.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The ladle has a long, thin handle made of silver metal. The handle is smooth and curved, becoming thicker at the end nearest the bowl of the ladle. The bowl of the ladle is large and shallow with a wavy edge. It has a ribbed design, with many small, raised lines running around its circumference. The background is a plain gray color, with a slight shadow underneath the ladle.
