Lamp Shade

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a black and white photograph of a lamp shade by an unknown artist titled "Lamp Shade". The lamp shade is made of a shiny material, possibly metal or glass. It has a wide, flat base that is circular in shape. The base is thicker at the bottom than at the top. A small lip around the edge of the base. The shade itself is domed, with a rounded top. The top of the shade appears to have a small circular indentation. The background of the image is a plain surface, possibly a table or shelf. The surface is light-colored, with a subtle shadow cast by the lamp shade. A small label on the front of the base reads "33.127.4".
