Hall Lantern
The Hall Lantern by Louis Comfort Tiffany. A hanging glass lantern. The top is a metal shade with a handle to hang it, featuring a convex shape with a concave underside, and small ventilation holes around the side. Three chains connect the shade to the glass bowl below. The bowl is wider at the top than the bottom. The glass is clear and decorated with etched designs, including a repeating starburst pattern near the top. A band of decoration encircles the top of the bowl. The main body of the bowl contains etched images of plants and two birds, one on either side. A single candle is depicted among the foliage. The base features a short cylindrical section and a downward-pointing triangular section. The background is white.
