The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Quart Bottle by A. R. Samuels: Black and white photograph of two glass bottles. The bottle on the left is teardrop shaped with a narrow neck and small mouth. The left side of the bottle features an embossed design consisting of a pointed shield shape surrounded by a wreath encircling a triangle pointed down with a line through it. The bottle on the right is also teardrop shaped with a more narrow neck and small mouth. The right side features a house with two stories and four windows, plus an embossed design of dots encircling the upper body. The bottom of this bottle features raised letters that read "SCHNEIDER". Both bottles are sitting on a white surface in front of a white wall. The bottles are side by side and centered in the photograph. The photograph fills most of the image with a blank white space on all sides. There is a thin white line below the photograph.
