Sherry Glass

New England Glass Company

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The glass is clear and made of transparent material. The bowl of the glass tapers down and in, then flares out to a wide circular rim. The bowl is approximately conical shaped. The stem is long and slender, tapering slightly as it descends. A wide circular base provides stability to the glass. The entire piece appears to be made from one solid piece of material. The background shows a flat surface at the bottom with a plain wall behind. Sherry Glass by New England Glass Company.
