Shoe Buckle

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two rectangular metal shoe buckles with a grid-like design. The buckles have a decorative border around the outside edge. Each buckle has a short prong on either side near the bottom. There are two horizontal bars inside each buckle, one in the middle and one near the top. The top of each buckle has an ornate detail in the center. The buckles are lying on a white surface, and there are shadows underneath them. The image is in black and white. The buckles are symmetrical and identical except the one on the left has the ornate detail centered on top and the one on the right has it offset to the right. The title of the image is "Shoe Buckle". The artist is not visually represented.
