The token is circular and made of brown metal. The token has a raised outer edge with 34 stars. Inside the outer edge is a recessed circle. Inside the recessed circle and embossed are the words "WASHINGTON", "APRIL 30", and "1789", one word or number per line, in the center of the token. The token is on a gray background.
