Tumbler

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Clear glass tumbler with a wide mouth and a slightly narrower base. The glass has a decorative rim with a serrated edge at the top. Below the rim, there is an etched design featuring curvilinear scrollwork on either side. The body of the glass features vertical ridges that run from the middle to the bottom. The glass appears to be dark at the bottom and gradually lightens towards the top. The glass sits on a flat surface against a plain background. Tumbler by unknown artist.
