The Vase by Charles James has a short stem with a wide, flat base. The body of the vase is bulbous, then tapers in and opens up to a flared mouth with a wavy rim. The glass is black and white with a swirl pattern, the black predominating on the lower half and the white on the upper. The image is black and white. The vase sits on a table against a plain background.
