Vase

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Black and white photo of two matching white porcelain vases by artist Louis Comfort Tiffany. The vases are approximately the same size and shape. The vases are wider at the top than at the bottom and flare out slightly. The tops of the vases have wavy edges. The bodies of the vases are decorated with a mesh pattern on a flat background. Raised white porcelain motifs are on the exterior and interior of the vases. The motifs include curving vines with leaves and clusters of grapes. On the front of each vase are raised flowers. The left vase has a bow and the right vase has several berries hanging from the center. The bases of the vases are decorated with an x-shaped scroll pattern.
