Corner cupboard from a House in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The corner cupboard, by an unknown artist from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is a tall, gray-painted wooden cabinet. The cabinet features a crown molding at the top with a flat surface. The top section has a large arched window with 16 panes of glass, divided into two doors. The doors have a semicircular top and 14 grid-patterned glass panes. A decorative gold-colored handle is centered on the doors. Below the windowed section, there are two smaller rectangular doors with flat tops, each equipped with a small knob. The cabinet's body is adorned with vertical and horizontal molding details. It rests on four short, black feet. The background is a plain beige wall with the cabinet positioned in a corner.
