The oval portrait of the woman is surrounded by a thin rope-like border. The oval portrait is itself placed in a larger gray frame with decorative molding along the top edge. The frame has rounded scalloped edges on either side. Small carved floral motifs are present on the upper corners and lower left corner of the frame.
