The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two gold-colored, ornate vases with handles on each side. The vases are identical in shape and size, with a wide mouth and narrow base. A decorative design encircles the top of each vase and there are painted landscapes on the body of each. The left vase depicts a seascape with buildings while the right vase depicts a wooded landscape. The vases have a single handle on each side. The bases of the vases are square. The background of the image is a gradient blue color. Vase by Marc Schoelcher.
