Salver

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Salver by artist is a silver-colored, round serving dish. The dish has a raised edge with a repeating pattern of small rectangles. The edge of the dish is scalloped with curved sections that point outward. There are two decorative lines that run along the face of the dish, one near the edge and one further in. In the center of the dish is an engraved floral design. The dish is displayed on a gray background with a slight shadow underneath.
