Vase

William J. Walley

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The vase is tall and slender with a narrow opening at the top. The body of the vase is bulbous and tapers up to a narrow neck. The vase has a small foot at the bottom. The lower half of the vase is light gray with small dark speckles. The upper half of the vase is dark brown with gold-colored accents. The dark brown glaze does not cover the entire upper half, exposing some of the light gray underneath. The background is a gradient from dark grey at the top to white at the bottom. The image is taken from a front-facing perspective. The vase is titled "Vase" and is made by William J. Walley.
