The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Curved, single-edged sword blade with a rounded tip, made of dark gray metal with a subtle hamon. A silver-colored dragon motif etched on the blade, extending from the base to the middle. A small circular hole and tang at the base of the blade. The blade has a slight curve and tapers to a narrower width near the tip. The background is solid black. The sword blade is presented as "Blade and Mounting for a Short Sword (Wakazashi)" by an unidentified artist.
