Gorget for the Bodyguard of Louis XIII, gold and steel. The piece is shaped like a semi-circle with a protruding lip at the top and two curved cut-outs on the sides. The item has a gold-colored etched surface with a shield-like design in the center; the shield appears to have a crown on top. The edge of the piece features small gold domed rivets. The background is dark gray and light grey, with a slight shadow cast by the object.
