Arrowhead (<i>Yanone</i>)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The "Arrowhead (<i>Yanone</i>)" by an unknown artist depicts a two-pronged metal object with a long, thin, pointed tip. The prongs are side by side, parallel to each other, and symmetrical. They are wider at the tip and taper to a narrower section at the base. A short, cylindrical piece connects the prongs to a thin, vertical shaft that extends downward out of view. The metal has a weathered appearance with darker spots and discoloration. The background is solid black.
