Arrowhead (<i>Yanone</i>)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image depicts an Arrowhead (<i>Yanone</i>) made by an unknown artist. The arrowhead is silver, teardrop-shaped with a rounded point at the top, and has a black spade-shaped hole in its center. The base of the arrowhead has a short, wide, rectangular silver piece with two triangular prongs on either side. The prongs extend out from the base and are angled slightly towards the tip of the arrowhead. The arrowhead and prongs appear to be attached to a long, thin, rusted metal shaft. The background is solid black.
