Sword guard (<i>Tsuba</i>) Depicting Comical Character Hyottoko (火男図鐔)

Dark brown metal sword guard with a rounded rectangular shape and wavy edges. The guard features two oval-shaped holes, one larger than the other, positioned vertically in the center. A small, raised face with a large mouth and small eyes is on the right side. A gold chain-like design extends from the face. A leaf-like design with a gold accent is at the bottom left. The guard has a dark patina with some lighter brown areas.
