War Hat

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The War Hat by Carl W. Buerch is a silver-colored helmet with a distinctive wide brim that curves upwards at the edges. The helmet has a rounded top with a small knob. There are two small holes and one larger hole on the front, and several dark spots and marks are visible on its surface. A thin line runs horizontally across the middle, and small rivets are along this line. The background of the image is dark gray.
