Sword-Hilt Collar and Pommel (Fuchigashira)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two dark brown metal pieces, one oval and one rectangular. The oval piece is flat with a textured surface and has an etched design resembling a bow with ends pointing outwards, with two small gold dots in the center. The rectangular piece is also flat with a textured surface and features a similar etched design with a bow-like motif and two small gold dots. Both pieces are set against a light gray background. They appear to be a sword-hilt collar and pommel, known as Fuchigashira, with a dragonfly design.
