The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Round, flat, circular object with a black outer edge. The object has a bronze-colored interior with a leaf pattern. There are three narrow protrusions extending from the inner edge of the black rim to the center; one protrusion points to the top and the other two to either side. The center has a smooth oval area with a hollowed section in the middle. The oval contains raised etchings. The etched area has two notches; one on the left and right. The leaf design is on either side of the inner oval. The leaf design extends to the edge of the object. The object appears to be made of metal. It is titled "Sword Guard (Tsuba)" by an unknown artist.
