Dagger (Katar)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The dagger, titled "Katar," is made of metal. The blade is long and narrow with a pointed tip. Two parallel, U-shaped prongs extend from the top of the dagger. A short, horizontal, flat piece of metal connects the prongs. An oval-shaped piece of metal is centered on this piece. The handle is decorated with a raised design. The dagger appears weathered, with visible signs of wear on its surface. The background is plain and light-colored.
