Dagger with Sheath

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The dagger has a long, narrow blade with a pointed tip. The blade is gray with visible signs of wear and tear. The hilt features a gold and clear stone or glass top. A metal band encircles the base of the hilt. The sheath is long and cylindrical, made of metal, with a gold design on it. Three small stones are set into the sheath: one green, one red, and one blue-green. A gold and metal piece is attached to the sheath near the top. The background is gray. The dagger and sheath are presented by the artist as "Dagger with Sheath".
