Ottone Hamerani

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Copper-colored medal with a brown patina, circular in shape. The obverse features a profile portrait of a man with curly hair, facing right. The man has a large amount of hair curled and styled back from his face. He wears a decorative collar and possibly a cloak or other garment with a brooch. The words "IACOBVS III REX" are inscribed along the top edge of the medal in a curved line. The remainder of the letters are not fully visible. The medal appears to have a raised edge and a slight shadow to the right. The background of the image is light gray.
