Powder Flask

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a metal powder flask titled "Powder Flask" by an unknown artist. The object is silver-colored, made of metal, and has a round body with a long, narrow spout at the top. The body of the object is shaped like a teardrop with the pointed end at the top; the round part is about 7/8 of the way down. The bottom half of the object is scalloped with a wavy edge and a decorative design around the edge. Inside the scalloped area is a concentric circle pattern with decorative etchings. The long, narrow spout is attached to the top and has a small loop at the very top; two small decorative ears are on either side where the spout meets the object. The background of the image is light gray.
