Palanquin

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Dark brown wooden palanquin with a flat roof and two windows on either side. The windows are rectangular and made of a red patterned material, possibly fabric or wood. Two long, thin wooden poles protrude from either side of the palanquin, used for carrying. The palanquin sits on a blue platform with a white base. In the background, a white shelf displays three small white busts and a small brown box. The walls are white and the floor is light-colored wood. The palanquin is by artist and titled "Palanquin".
