The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a sculpture of an elephant with three riders and two attendants. The elephant faces right and has a large body with four legs, a long trunk, and large ears. It has a decorative blanket on its back with intricate patterns. Three people ride on top of the elephant, one sitting towards the front with hands near their knees, one sitting behind them with arms extended, and another sitting further back on the left. Two people stand on either side of the elephant, near its front legs. All figures have simple headdresses. The sculpture is made of dark gray stone or metal. The background is plain light grey.
