Vessel Stem Bowl

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Vessel Stem Bowl is a bulbous, gray ceramic vessel. The bowl has a wide mouth with a small lip at the top and a narrow base. A line encircles the bowl about one-third of the way down from the top. The base is short and wide. The surface appears weathered and scratched. The background is a solid dark grey color, with the bowl casting a shadow to the left.
