The sculpture depicts a man on a horse. The man wears a helmet and a long-sleeved shirt. He sits on a saddle with no stirrups and holds a flute. The horse's head is turned to the right; it has a bridle and a saddle blanket. The sculpture is made of clay and sits on a dark wooden base. The clay is unglazed and light brown. The horse and rider are facing right. The man and horse appear to be from the Tang Dynasty.
