Snuff Bottle

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Snuff Bottle by artist. A small, dark-colored stand supports a snuff bottle. The bottle is made of a mottled green and yellow material, possibly jade, and has an irregular shape resembling an organic form. A small, green, cone-shaped object protrudes from the top of the bottle. The base of the bottle is rounded and it tapers towards the top. The dark-colored stand is rectangular with curved edges and has a small circular indentation in the center to support the base of the bottle. The background of the image is a plain gray color.
