Vessel in the shape of a kneeling ram

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The vessel is a sculpture of a ram. The ram is depicted in a kneeling position, facing right. It has a large body that is bulbous in the middle. The body is adorned with etched patterns on its left side, specifically on the top side of its back and on its hip. The head features two curling horns that spiral outward and then inward toward each other. The ram has a protruding eye, small nose, and mouth. A small tail protrudes from the back. The vessel appears to be made of a brown stone. The background is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
