Buddha offering protection

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Buddha offering protection by unknown artist. A bronze statue of a man with a serene facial expression. He wears a robe draped over his left shoulder and has his right hand raised in front of him, palm facing outwards. His left hand is also raised but with the palm facing downwards. He stands on a square base with a small hole on the front side. The statue has a green patina and appears to be weathered. The background is a gradient from dark grey at the top to light grey at the bottom.
