The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The vase by Bernard Leach is a dark brown ceramic with a wide body that tapers to a narrow mouth. The body of the vase is rounded and slightly curved inward toward the top. The vase has a small foot at the base. The glaze is dark brown with flecks of lighter brown and blue. The background is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom. A shadow is cast to the right of the vase.
