Lobed bowl

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Lobed bowl by Itsuo Muro. The bowl made from ceramic appears to be light-brown with darker brown patches near the bottom third. Its shape resembles a funnel. The bowl is wider at the top than at the base. The base appears sturdy and rounded. The top edge of the bowl has small chips missing in places. The bowl casts a shadow underneath. It sits on a mottled light grey background, which is lighter at the bottom and darker at the top.
