The vases are tall and have a wide mouth that flares out. The top portion of each vase is narrower than the bottom portion. The bottom of each vase is wider than the middle and tapers in towards the bottom. The entire surface of each vase is covered in a black and white design of lotus flowers and scrolls. The background is a plain wall with shadows cast by the vases.
