Hexagonal vase

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The hexagonal vase by Kosta Boda is a glossy black vase with a hexagonal base. The base is a flat hexagon with slightly raised edges. The body of the vase tapers inward from the base then curves outward and tapers to a slightly flared rim. The shape of the vase's body between the base and the curve is hexagonal with a flat side on each of the six angles. The background behind the vase is light gray and a shadow is cast to the lower right.
