Kiln Waster

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Kiln Waster by Bernard Leach. A black and white photograph shows two ceramic bowls; one inside the other. The larger bowl is intact, on the bottom, with a handle on its right side. The inner bowl is broken into several pieces. The inner bowl's pieces fit together to form the bowl's general shape but has jagged edges. The bowls are on a light surface and cast a shadow to the left.
