Stirrup-shaped Ring with Rectangular Bezel with "Sri"

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Golden-colored metal ring with a stirrup or horseshoe shape. The ring has a rectangular bezel with a beveled edge. The rectangular section features a raised design etched into its surface. The etched design reads "Sri". The ring's band tapers and widens at the ends into bulbous shapes on either side of the rectangular section. The background is a flat light gray surface; the ring casts a slight shadow.
