The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The object is a light-colored fabric fireman's jacket with short sleeves and a high collar. The jacket has a round patch on the upper center front; the patch has a blue background with a white design. There are two breast pockets, one on each side of the center front. The jacket's hem and sleeve edges have dark trim. A dark sash or plastron is visible under the jacket. The jacket appears to be laid flat on a white surface.
