Sparrows Flying

Watanabe Seitei

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Three brown birds flying on a beige background. The birds have brown heads, brown bodies with white spots on their wings, and white patches on their faces. Two birds have their wings spread out to the sides and are flying downwards, one towards the bottom-right and the other towards the bottom-left. The third bird, located at the top-left, flies towards the bottom-left with its wings spread out to the sides and an object in its beak. The background has a light brown or beige color and appears to have a fabric texture. The image features a thin gold border around the edges. There are vertical Japanese characters in black and red on the bottom-left.
