Cotton Rose Mallows in the Rain by Okada Baison. The painting depicts a bird perched on a stem. The bird has a brown head, white cheeks and a grey body with brown spots on its wings. The stem is green with a bud to the left and a white flower in full bloom in the centre, and large green leaves. There is a small unopened flower bud to the left of the white flower. The background is a light grey-brown color. The painting is on a beige background with a brown border. The corners of the painting are folded over. There is small black text in the bottom right corner.
