The plate's design includes gold-colored lines that form floral patterns and swirling vines. Small, multicolored gemstones or jewels are set into the plate, mostly within the floral patterns. The background of the image is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom. The plate casts a shadow on the surface below. The artist of this piece is unknown but attributed to China. The title of the piece is "Jeweled plate".
