The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a tall-footed bowl, or Hachi, made of terracotta. The bowl has a wide mouth with a short, uneven rim. The body of the bowl is shaped like an inverted funnel, wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. The base of the bowl is a short, flared pedestal with small holes around the edge. The entire piece is a uniform terracotta color. The background is a gray gradient, with the bowl casting a shadow to the right.
