The painting depicts a red parrot perched on a tree branch. The parrot faces left, has a large red body with black spots, gray wings and tail, and a gray and yellow beak. The branch has several leaves and seed pods. Two red stamps are on the right side. The background is dark gray. A color palette is at the bottom.
