Wine Ewer

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Wine Ewer, created by Eva Zeisel, is a dark-colored ceramic object with a glossy finish. The ewer has a teardrop-shaped body with a narrow neck and a small opening at the top. A handle is attached to the right side of the neck and body. The handle is curved and has a small hole at the top. A spout protrudes from the left side of the body. The body features a floral design in a lighter shade of the ceramic material. The background is a plain wall and surface, on which the ewer is sitting.
