Black lacquer inro with two panels side by side. A black hawk perches on a tasseled perch on each panel. The perches are gilt with a red cord wrapped around. The tassels are red with gold accents. The hawk on the left faces right with its head turned. The hawk on the right faces left with its head lowered and beak near the tassel. The background of both panels is black. The panels have a curved top and are rectangular in shape. There are four rectangular panels making up each side, separated by thin lines. A chain is visible at the top of each panel.
