Purification Rite

Purification Rite by Ōtagaki Rengetsu. The image shows a piece of white paper with Japanese calligraphy written on it. The writing is in black ink and appears to be handwritten. The text is arranged vertically down the center of the paper, with some characters larger than others. There are several lines of text, but they are not in a straightforward horizontal or vertical line. A small signature or seal is located at the bottom right corner of the paper. The paper has some wrinkles and creases, giving it a somewhat aged appearance.
