Netsuke of Octopus by Masatoshi. Small, carved wooden octopus with bulging eyes and curled tentacles. The octopus has a bulbous body that tapers into eight tentacles, two of which curl up on either side of the face. The eyes are large and protruding, with black pupils on a white background. The tentacles have suckers carved along their length. The octopus has a small beak-like mouth. The wood is stained a reddish-brown color. The background is white with a shadow cast by the object.
